Staying with Children

For total peace of mind during your stay, we’ve child proofed the house, including safety wall sockets and can provide stair-gates which are available for you to put up.  The guest bedroom on the ground floor is our daughter’s room and decorated as such with plenty of toys to play with  (it is also suitable for adults to sleep in and the single can covert to a double bed).

So you don’t have to bring all the basics from home, we can provide the following:

• Feeding – Avent 6 bottle steriliser, baby cutlery & tableware, 2 x white IKEA plastic high-chairs.
• Bathing – equipment suitable from babies and toddlers; baby bath seat, Flexi-Bath and Aquapod bath seat and mat. Plastic toddler steps to reach the sink.
• Sleeping – 2 x Travel Cots (suitable up to 3 years ), a Moses Basket & Stand for infants – please bring your own bedding for the cots. We have a single blow up mattress and 3 x sleeping mats and bags for additional sleeping options for children (small children love using  the alcoves in first floor bedrooms).
• Playing– McClaren Techno XLR buggy, baby gym, Baby seat rocker, Baby Activity Station,  V-Tech Push-Walker, Door Frame Baby Bouncer and much more.  There are jigsaw puzzles, children’s books, toys and DVDs available for your use.
• The Garden – The self-contained garden is a fantastic safe area for kids to use and they will also love the summer house! There is a children’s playground with swings and a climbing frame at the Icklesham Recreation Ground located behind the house.  When not in use, you can also use the playing field to play rounders, cricket, football etc.  This can be accessed by walking down Workhouse Lane and entering the ground by the side of the village hall.

The children’s equipment is available to use and can be found in various cupboards- please look around and help yourself.
