Getting There

Driving from London

Via M20 – take junction 10 off M20 towards Hastings, take the sliproad towards Ashford & Hastings (A292/A2070), at the roundabout take the first exit towards A2070 Bad Munstereifel Road.  Take the 2nd exit at the next roundabout where the road names changes to A2042.  Take the next sliproad on the left towards Hythe & Lydd and take the 2nd exit at the roundabout onto A2070.  Remain on this road for 9 miles and at roundabout with a garage, take the 2nd exit onto the A259/Straight Lane in the direction of Hastings & Rye.  Stay on this road for 9 miles until you reach Rye. Stay on the A259 following signs in the direction of Hastings.  Drive through the next village of Winchelsea and when you get to the signpost for Icklesham take the 2nd turning on the left down Workhouse Lane (opposite the sign for the Queen’s Head pub).  The Old School is the first house on the right.

Via M25/A21 – junction 5 of M25 merges into A21, continue on A21 for approximately 34 miles, passing through 7 roundabouts.  Turn left at Crazy Lane, then at end of the road turn right onto Cottage Lane, keep straight onto Harts Lane and then straight onto Wheel Lane which name changes into Moor Lane. Bear right and then bear left onto The Moor and keep straight onto Butchers Lane.  Turn left onto the A259 and drive for 2 miles into the village of Icklesham. When you reach the village playing fields on the right hand side, the next road on the right is Workhouse Lane (on the left hand side you’ll see the sign for the Queen’s Head pub).  The Old School is the first house on the right.

The Old School is very accessible from London using the High-Speed 1 Rail-link from St Pancreas International or Stratford International to Ashford International, then changing for Rye Station or Winchelsea Station.  Hastings Railway Station serves a number of south-east and west locations including Gatwick Airport.
